Introducing Geoff Lewis
A successful career as an Audiologist and administrator in the public sector provided the background for Director and Principal Audiologist Geoff Lewis to establish North Queensland Hearing Services.
A graduate of the University of New England (Australia) with a double major in Psychology, Geoff fostered an interest in psychological stress and the effects of noise. This helped pave the way for employment by the Australian Governments National Acoustic Laboratory (NAL).
Since then Geoff has gained extensive experience in hearing assessment, screening programs, rehabilitation and counselling. For ten years he was Audiologist in Charge of NALs Townsville Hearing Centre and responsible for the provision of public audiological services to North Queensland.
A feature of Geoff's work is his ability to communicate and take into account the needs of the individual or organisation.
An Audiologist for thirty four years he has the experience to provide you with professional expert service and advice.
Geoff is a member of the Audiological Society of Australia (ASA) and holds the Society's Clinical Certificate of Competance. He is a past President of ACAud, an industry organisation for Hearing Care Professionals and a member of the Australian Association of Audiologists in Private Practice (AAAPP).
In these changing times, he sees joining the Connect Group as a positive move for North Queensland Hearing Services.
